KEY POINTS:
A teenager who bragged about having deceived former Taiwanese President Chen Shui Ban with a fake religious ritual has been arrested in another fraud.
Reports that the teenager successfully lured the former leader to his office to receive bogus religious blessings have embarrassed Chen, who is already dogged by several corruption scandals.
The Apple Daily and other newspapers said police arrested the 16-year-old, surnamed Huang, on charges of forgery unrelated to the presidential scam.
On his blog, Huang mocked Chen, declaring, "I ... conned the biggest con man in Taiwan's history. That man is so stupid that he was fooled by me and three fake lamas,"
Chen last week acknowledged he attended a ritual to ask for blessings under the false impression that a friend had arranged it.
