Taiwan's armed forces are holding a major exercise based on a simulated Chinese invasion, a day after the island's President accused China of military aggression.
The exercise, part of five-month manoeuvres called Hankuang, or Chinese Glory, will test Taiwan's plan to beat back a hypothetical Chinese attack featuring paratroop landings and bombardment.
Previous Hankuang instalments have involved simulations of shooting down Chinese missiles and fighting communist commandos trying to take over Taipei and overthrow the Government.
