US talk show diva Oprah Winfrey and 300 of her biggest fans arrive in Sydney this morning, marking the beginning of their "Ultimate Australian Adventure".
Winfrey is wrapping up her 25th and final season with a trip Down Under, where she'll film two episodes at the Sydney 'Oprah' House later this month.
Film star and long-time Winfrey friend John Travolta will be at the controls of the Qantas plane bringing the excited fans to Sydney.
Travolta is a fully qualified commercial pilot, who earlier this year flew supplies in to earthquake-stricken Haiti at his own expense.
Australia as a tourism destination will be the focus of a special episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, which will be compiled to catalogue the group's travel experiences.
"We are delighted The Oprah Winfrey Show has chosen NSW as the location for their ultimate adventure," New South Wales premier Kristina Keneally said.
"This is a great opportunity to showcase NSW and Sydney to a global audience."
Winfrey and her entourage will be in Australia for a week.
