The death toll from the Quakers Hill nursing home has risen to 11, after an 83-year-old woman died at a Sydney hospital.
The woman died in the burns unit at Royal North Shore Hospital on Tuesday, a police statement said today.
An autopsy will be carried out in the coming days to determine the cause of her death.
The death comes after two fires are believed to have broken out in separate wings of the Quakers Hill nursing home, in Sydney's northwest, about 5am (AEDT) on November 18.
Three elderly residents died in the fire, with eight others dying in Sydney hospitals while undergoing treatment for serious injuries, including burns and smoke inhalation.
