At least 1000 people have gathered in the southern Swedish town of Landskrona after a 78-year-old woman died there last week after a dispute about a parking space, police say.
The woman died from a fatal blow to her head delivered by a younger man when she was trying to defend her 71-year-old husband during the fight in a supermarket car parking lot.
The crowd gathered in a stand against violence yesterday.
The fight started when the woman's husband had honked at another driver, who was blocking a parking space.
The other driver, a 23-year-old, began beating up the husband and when the wife tried to intervene, punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground, police said.
The driver has been arrested and charged, and another man has been charged with aiding the suspect.
