The pressure was on entrepreneur and fashion king Sean "P. Diddy" Combs yesterday after worker activists claimed he has been using illegal sweatshops in Honduras to make his trendy Sean Jean line of clothing.
Protesters, including some former workers of a factory that manufactures items for the rap icon in Honduras, made their point on New York's Fifth Avenue.
A National Labour Committee study into conditions at one Sean Jean factory in Honduras found 380 to 400 workers earned only US15c (24c) an hour for each long-sleeved T-shirt they produced. They sell in the US for US$40 ($65).
