Suspicious amputated foot returned to owner

Ezekiel Rubottom has his left foot back exactly where he wants it - in a bucket on the front porch.

Kansas police returned the amputated foot to the 21-year-old after seizing it to check if it was detached from its owner in a crime.

Rubottom's foot was amputated three weeks ago after a series of medical problems, and he kept it in a 20-litre bucket filled with formaldehyde and other objects - what he called "a collage of myself".

Police said they were satisfied the foot was not suspicious. Rubottom said he just wanted it back.
