A survivor was pulled alive from the rubble of China's earthquake 266 hours (over 11 days) after the big tremor hit, state television reported yesterday.
Xiao Zhihu, an 80-year-old partially paralysed man, was rescued in Mianzhu city on Friday. He survived after being fed by his wife.
The Government said the death toll had risen to 62,664 and expected it to rise above 80,000. It also said 69 dams were in danger of bursting in Sichuan province after the earthquake.
