The grandson of the speech therapist who helped King George VI deal with his stammer is backing a campaign to protect his legacy from spending cuts.
Threatened by having already seen services slashed by up to 30 per cent in some areas of Britain, the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists has launched a campaign against the cuts.
Mark Logue, 45, whose grandfather, Lionel, is played by Geoffrey Rush in The King's Speech, is backing the therapists who help tens of thousands of stroke victims and young children overcome communication difficulties.
