South Korea's military is facing allegations of abuse after nude photographs of soldiers and riot police appeared on the internet.
The South Korean Marine Corps said it was launching a probe after newspapers published photographs of naked recruits.
They were taken during a celebration at a police barracks in Wonju last September.
In one, recruits try to cover their genitals with their hands as they stand naked on a snow-covered drill ground while an officer stands by holding a stick.
