A magnitude 6.9 earthquake has just struck the Solomon Islands a day after another big quake.
This morning's quake hit just after 8am (NZT) at a depth of 10km.
It follows a 7.8 magnitude shake yesterday morning.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre put out a revised message just before 9am (NZT).
An evaluation of the quake said: "Based on all available data, hazardous tsunami waves are forecast for some coasts.''
