The face of Scottish economist Adam Smith will gaze out from the back of Britain's £20 note from next year, replacing composer Sir Edward Elgar.
Currently, prison reformer Elizabeth Fry is on the back of the £5 note, naturalist Charles Darwin is on the £10 note and Sir John Houblon, the first Bank of England Governor, is on the back of the £50 note.
