Nearly 200,000 motorists in Britain have had driving fines totalling £8 million ($17.2 million) in the past year after being caught by Smart cars fitted with CCTV cameras, says campaigner Big Brother Watch.
More than 50 CCTV Smart cars were patrolling 31 council areas and raised about £322,790 for each town hall that used them.
