It was at a focal depth of 20 kilometres, and was located 30 kilometres south-east of the town.
It measured 3.7 on the Richter scale.
It was felt at 5.29 this morning.
Last evening an earthquake was felt at 7.14 in the Wellington area.
It was located 20 kilometres west of Wellington, at a depth of 40 kilometres, and measured 3.5 on the Richter scale.
