NASHVILLE - Six people died and 18 others were injured at a charity event for children when a dragster doing a burnout went out of control.
The car, with professional driver Troy Critchley at the wheel, was taking part in a parade at the Cars for Kids fundraising event in Selmer.
Two people died at the scene and four died in hospital. One video showed the dragster spinning its tyres, speeding down a roadway lined with spectators and then skidding into the crowd amid screams and a cloud of white smoke.
