At least six people died in Poland and the Czech Republic yesterday and dozens were injured after heavy storms and torrential rain felled trees, electricity poles and ripped off roofs.
Five people died across Poland - four of them killed by uprooted trees, officials told the PAP news agency.
One person drowned in the southeastern region of Wroclaw, the country's fourth largest city and the capital of Upper Silesia.
A 75-year-old woman died and several people were injured by falling trees in heavy storms in the Czech Republic.
