Sinn Fein said yesterday that it reinstated five party members suspended over the murder of a Catholic man in a Belfast bar.
After a campaign by the family of murder victim Robert McCartney, the Irish Republican Army-linked party suspended a dozen members alleged to have been involved in the attack or to have withheld information.
Sinn Fein said the five had followed leader Gerry Adams' instructions to give statements to Police Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan.
