NEW YORK - Delta Air Lines' domestic terminal at New York's LaGuardia Airport has resumed normal operations following a security breach today that forced an evacuation.
A spokeswoman from the US Transportation Security Administration in Washington said departing flights, which had been halted by the scare, had resumed.
Officials continued to search for a man who sparked the scare when he walked away after his shoes set off a security screening device meant to detect explosives.
The spokeswoman said the screening device sometimes is triggered by substances other than explosives, including traces of fertiliser that can be found on the bottom of shoes.
