The man who allegedly drove his car into oncoming traffic during a highway rampage in Western Australia last month has been charged with the murder of a 61-year-old woman.
Shaun Southern, 46, of Usher, was charged in a bedside hearing in hospital on Monday, where he is still being treated after he was seriously injured in the crash on the Bussell Highway in Capel in February.
He'll remain in police custody until his next scheduled appearance in Stirling Magistrates Court on March 29.
It's alleged he deliberately drove his 4WD at other vehicles on the highway, before crashing into the car being driven by Jenni Pratt, 61.
Pratt, a mother of two, died after the crash, which was caught on video by several witnesses who became concerned after several near misses with other cars.
