SYDNEY - A man has been bitten by a shark at a beach north of Newcastle, the ambulance service says.
The 31-year-old man walked into the Tea Gardens ambulance station just before 11am (1pm NZT) today seeking treatment for a serious bite wound on the buttock.
He was being treated by paramedics and was to be airlifted to hospital.
