A series of earthquakes over magnitude 5.0 have rattled the Kermadec Islands at the weekend
The 5.0, 5.2, and two 5.4 magnitude earthquakes struck the Kermadec Islands, about 1000 kilometres north-east of Auckland, yesterday morning, the US Geological Survey said.
The four earthquakes, in the highly active seismic area, were between the depths of 15 and 30 kilometres.
