Seine capsize kills two in Paris

Police say a child and an adult have died from injuries after being trapped underwater when a boat sank in the Seine in Paris.

The 6-year-old child and the adult were the only two injured in the accident near Notre Dame Cathedral. The other 10 people aboard were rescued safely.

Investigators were looking into two possible causes: that the boat collided with a larger boat and sank, or that it hit a pillar of the bridge.
