Segways sidelined in Hong Kong

Hong Kong has banned Segway scooters, saying the two-wheel vehicle's construction and design don't comply with regulations.

Segway riders stand on a platform between two small, parallel wheels, and hold handlebars attached to an upright post. Operators use hands and feet to control the vehicles.
