Another man has been caught allegedly taking inappropriate photographs of women at the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne.
The 35-year-old Werribee man was arrested late today and interviewed by police at their Melbourne headquarters.
"It was alleged he had been taking inappropriate photographs of females at the tennis," Victoria Police Senior Constable Bradi Owens said tonight.
"The man was brought to police attention late this afternoon by a woman who had observed him using a digital camera."
Const Owens said the man was released from custody late tonight and was expected to be charged on summons with offensive behaviour.
It is the second case of a man being arrested on suspicion of taking inappropriate photographs at the January 15-28 tennis tournament.
Two women complained to police on Wednesday last week that a man had been trying to film up their skirts with a hand-held digital camera.
Police found the 32-year-old man and seized his camera equipment.
He also is expected to be charged on summons with offensive behaviour and using surveillance equipment.
Police are also investigating the assault of a five-year-old boy in a toilet cubicle at the tournament, and crowd violence involving Croatian and Serbian spectators.
