Freedom is a step closer for Schapelle Corby.
The Indonesian Justice Minister has recommended her 20 year sentence for drug smuggling, dished out in 2004, be reduced on humanitarian grounds.
Her Australian lawyer Kerre Smith-Douglas says Corby's been losing it for some time, and she's unstable.
"She has been diagnosed independently by a psychiatrist who has said that she's got to get our of that prison otherwise she will insane.''
Kerre Smith-Douglas says it's now up to the President of Indonesia to approve that clemency, and there's no time limit on that decision.
