RIYADH - Saudi Arabian security forces exchanged fire with gunmen in the capital Riyadh on Monday, satellite television Al Arabiya said.
The Saudi-owned channel gave no further details but security forces later confirmed two policemen were injured.
Saudi Arabia has been battling militants loyal to Saudi-born Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network, who have staged several bloody attacks on foreign residents, government sites and energy-industry installations in the last two years.
