Footage of firefighters from American Samoa battling California wildfires has surfaced online, showing the men singing a touching hymn as they walk through the Shasta-Trinity Forest.
The firefighters sang a Samoan Christian hymn, reportedly called Fa'afetai i le Atua, which reportedly means a thank you to God.
A number of reports identify the men as Crew 61 from the Helena Fire Department in Northern California.
A commenter on YouTube says every child in the islands knows the song from Sunday School.
"We sing it when we are tired and need strength. It says ... sing praises sing praise to God .. aleluia thank you .. he answers our prayers in the time of need," the commenter said.
