Two hours before Manu Samoa kicked off in Cardiff in the monumental match against Wales last week, a baby boy was born at the Tupua Tamasaese Meaole II Hospital in Apia Samoa, to very proud Manu fans, Falute and Talai Junior Lene.
Samoa went on to win the match 19-26 and the proud parents decided to mark the event by naming their baby son Cardiff.
Speaking to Samoa Observer, proud father Talai said Cardiff was a reminder of the great win against Wales.
"I told my wife that morning that I wanted to watch the game with my son, and it happened," Talai said.
Little Cardiff obliged, arriving two hours before kick off time therefore ensuring that his parents watched the game. Talai told NZ Herald the babys full name is Cardiff Vaauli Asotoelau Lene.
