A Russian tycoon says in a lawsuit that the US$53.5 million ($79.7 million) New York penthouse he agreed to buy resembles an attic, and has demanded the return of his US$10 million deposit plus US$20 million in damages.
Andrei Vavilov, an energy baron and hedge-fund manager, bought an apartment at the Plaza Hotel on Fifth Ave and accuses the developer of presenting it "as the epitome of luxury".
