ACCRA, Ghana (AP) Authorities say a top Russian judicial official has been hospitalized in intensive care after a road accident in the West African nation of Ghana.
A statement signed Monday by Ghanaian Information Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu said that Chief Justice Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Lebedev was being treated at a military hospital in Ghana's capital.
Lebedev had been returning to Accra after opening the general meeting of the Ghana Bar Association in Ho, which is located about 100 miles (160 kilometers) east of the capital when the crash took place.
Authorities said his convoy was traveling near the town of Tsito when a truck veered into their lane.
