The former IRA man accused of manipulating the sisters of Robert McCartney has denied being behind the women's battle to bring their brother's killers to justice.
Anthony McIntyre rejected Sinn Fein (the political wing of the IRA) claims that he was using the tragedy to undermine the party.
The family of the murdered father-of-two have had hundreds of media interviews and a meeting with President George W. Bush in Washington. But a whispering campaign now surrounds the sisters.
MacIntyre said he was approached by the family and helped put them in touch with the media.
