Punters sick of betting on horses or rugby will be able to speculate on when Prince William and Kate Middleton will have their first child, after Centrebet issued its royal wedding markets.
The bookmakers favour Prince William and Kate Middleton to have their first child - probably a boy - in the second half of next year.
"Following on from our initial royal markets on when and where the wedding would be held, now punters can have their say on that first baby," said Centrebet's Neil Evans.
"We are tipping Kate won't completely rush into starting a family, but nearing 30 she won't wait a lengthy time either."
If the couple do wait until after 2014, the bookmakers will pay out at odds of $6.50.
Centrebet apparently examined the royal gene pool to slightly favour the first-born being a boy at $1.85 over a girl at $1.90.
"But punters who like much bigger odds can get $15 on the royal couple producing twins.
"I don't think Willy's got twins in him, but Kate's a hot-ticket item, and long-shots do win," Mr Evans said.
The newlyweds are also odds on to leave the Abbey in an open top carriage at $1.04, compared to the outside chance of a glass coach at $8.50.
A bet on the Queen wearing a yellow hat pays $3, slightly less than light blue/blue at $3.10. Purple is middling at $8, and green all but written-off at $12.
