BRISBANE - The severed heads of five kangaroos have been found on a beach at Deception Bay, north of Brisbane.
Local resident Angie Rando was out walking with her two children, aged 4 and 5, when she made the grisly discovery near a boat ramp on Sunday. "My first thought was: 'Oh my God, how could someone do this, especially to our wildlife?"'
Rando said the bodies were nowhere to be found.
RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said the ghastly scene, which has since been cleaned up by local authorities, was the result of an act of unprecedented cruelty.
