A Sydney baby remained in a critical condition last night after being hit in the head by a football-sized concrete block that fell off a truck and smashed through a car windscreen.
The parents of the 8-month-old girl were maintaining a bedside vigil after she underwent emergency surgery at The Children's Hospital.
She was in a baby capsule behind the front passenger seat when the concrete fell from the moving truck.
