A trip to the slums of Mexico City has given father-to-be Robbie Williams a taste of how the world's poorest kids have to fight to survive.
The English singer jetted off to Mexico this week with children's charity UNICEF and his own charitable organisation Soccer Aid to shoot a short film to coincide with a fundraising soccer match featuring Williams and other celebrities, which is scheduled for next month.
And he admits the trip to Mexico's crowded capital really opened his eyes to the problems of global poverty.
"Meeting children in Mexico City really showed me how dangerous the world can be for a child, and how hard it can be for them to even survive," Williams says.
"Right now, children are suffering and it shouldn't be like this. Soccer Aid is so great because it helps children just like this, living unbelievably tough lives all around the world, to have a better future," he says.
