Rights law backlash

Britain is planning a "radical overhaul" of the country's human rights legislation amid concerns that the rights of criminals are being put ahead of victims.

Reports said Prime Minister Tony Blair was determined to revamp the legislation after a week in which a judge allowed nine Afghan hijackers to remain in Britain.
