Rice says 'da' instead of 'nyet, nyet!'

Maybe she was just tired, but for a moment yesterday US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice declared that she would seek the US presidency.

"One day you will run for president?" Rice was asked on a Moscow radio station.

"President, da, da," Rice replied. Many people know - even if they are not fluent in Russian as Rice is believed to be - that "da" means yes.

"Nyet, nyet, nyet, nyet," Rice quickly added, taking herself out of the race as fast as she'd gotten into it.
