A man who wrapped himself in toilet paper for a party at a Sydney backpackers' hostel has been treated in hospital for burns after catching fire.
Police said the 31-year-old French national was at the party on The Corso in Manly about 12.45pm (NZT) last night when another man allegedly set his paper costume alight.
A fire alarm was activated and firefighters attended, along with ambulance paramedics and police.
The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he was treated for burns to his arm and neck.
Detectives are investigating and inquiries are continuing, police said.
