Brant Webb and Todd Russell, the miners who spent 14 days trapped underground in Beaconsfield Mine, will make their first public appearance on The Footy Show in Australia tonight.
The pair have not made any comments to the media since their ordeal ended on Tuesday morning.
Webb and Russell will appear at a special benefit concert for the Beaconsfield miners. The Footy Show will cross live to the concert where the pair will thank Australians for their support, a Nine spokeswoman told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Australia's Nine network, which airs The Footy Show, said the pair would not be paid and their appearance was not to be taken as an indication the miners had signed a deal with the channel.
Television networks in Australia have beeen vying for rights to tell the miners' story.
Celebrity agent Max Markson earlier told Australian Associated Press he thought media rights to the pair's story could be worth more than A$1m. He said there could be a TV and magazine deal and maybe a tele-movie and a book.
The men have been the subject of worldwide media intrest. Among those that have reportedly showed interest in interviewing the men are US 60 Minutes reporter Diane Sawyer and US talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
