LUXEMBOURG (AP) The small and prosperous European country of Luxembourg is getting a new prime minister for the first time in 18 years.
And on Friday, he revealed the early makings of his government.
Xavier Bettel said he'll have 15 ministers belonging to three different parties, but he didn't disclose their names. His coalition government will also try to hold down spending but will raise Luxembourg's value-added tax, Bettel said.
He said Luxembourg will follow through on its pledge to curtail banking secrecy, a demand long made by its European neighbors.
Bettel's government is to be sworn in Wednesday. He replaces Jean-Claude Juncker, Europe's longest-serving elected leader.
