BERLIN (AP) A federal appeals court has upheld the conviction of former Red Army Faction terrorist Verena Becker as accessory to the 1977 murder of West Germany's chief federal prosecutor.
The dpa news agency said the Federal Criminal Court on Wednesday rejected Becker's claim the lower court made errors in her 2012 conviction.
Becker was found guilty of "knowingly and deliberately" influencing other RAF members to kill prosecutor Siegfried Buback and sentenced to four years in prison.
Becker was arrested in May 1977 and convicted of armed robbery and attempted murder stemming from a shootout with police that preceded her arrest. She was sentenced to life in prison, but pardoned in 1989 by West Germany's president.
Becker was arrested again in August 2009 after a new investigation was opened into Buback's murder.
