A 24-year-old Queensland man has been fined A$750 ($808) for making a gun joke at an airport.
Duncan Shephard, from Caboolture north of Brisbane, was caught out on Sunday, becoming the third person in a week to be charged in the Australian Capital Territory for similar offences.
Shephard was detained at Canberra airport after telling a customer service agent he had guns in his luggage. The Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 carry a maximum penalty of A$5000.
