The Queen has been welcomed to Australia, at a special reception in Canberra.
She gave a brief speech at the event, saying she has watched the country grow into a prosperous, energetic and dynamic nation.
The 85-year-old monarch said she has watched Australia develop at a rapid pace since her first visit in 1954.
The guest list for the reception included past and present MPs, sports people, businessmen, public servants, diplomats and community representatives.
Today is the the third full day of Australia's royal tour with the Queen and Prince Philip heading to the Royal Military College at Duntroon in Canberra.
