A 2.03m basketball player dwarfed the Queen when they met at a Canberra reception.
Elizabeth Cambage, 20, was representing the sporting world at a reception hosted by Prime Minister Julia Gillard for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.
The Melbourne-based player, who was born in London but moved to Australia with her mother when a baby, described the monarch as a "tiny, tiny delicate thing".
She said the Queen looked up at her and said "you must be a basketball player". "I said, 'How can you tell?' and the Queen replied, 'You must find it very easy'. We had a little chuckle."
