New Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has vowed to form a government with a "pure Islamic culture".
"Based on the people's votes, I will form a Government which would follow the pure Islamic culture," Ahmadinejad said during a ceremony in which his presidency was confirmed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Ahmadinejad still must take an oath of office in Parliament on Sunday before his appointment is official.
