SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) Authorities in Puerto Rico have seized 54 bales of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $50 million.
The governor's spokesman Jose Rivera Adrovet says the cocaine weighed roughly nearly 4,400 pounds (2,000 kilograms).
Acting Police Chief James Tuller said officers acted on a tip early Thursday and seized the cocaine from a ship off the southeast coastal town of Maunabo.
He said police have detained an unidentified man from the Dominican Republic and are questioning him in connection with the seizure.
