BAGHDAD - The governor of the Shiite southern Iraqi province of Muthana was killed yesterday in a roadside bombing that targeted his convoy, officials in the province say.
Governor Mohammed Ali al-Hassani was on his way from Rumaitha to Samawa, the provincial capital, when his convoy was attacked, they said.
Hassani is the second Shiite governor killed this month in what appears to be Shiite infighting.
