Prince Charles released the official photos of his wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles on Monday, small family shots a far cry from the extravagant pictures from his 1981 wedding to Princess Diana.
The main group shot just shows Charles and Camilla with the Queen, Prince Philip, Camilla's father Major Bruce Shand and the newly-weds' respective children - princes Harry and William, and Laura and Tom Parker Bowles.
When Charles married Lady Diana Spencer the official photos boasted a dazzling array of most of the world's crowned heads replete with medals, sashes and tiaras.
In contrast, the Charles and Camilla photos, taken by photographer Hugo Burnand, show a relaxed family wedding with the middle-aged couple clearly at ease with each other.
Most British newspapers favoured photos of the newly-weds on their honeymoon in Scotland as their front page spreads.
The Daily Mail went for grainy photo of Prince William kissing Camilla on the cheek while the irreverent best-selling Sun asked "Why won't he give her one?" - referring to Charles' failure to kiss his bride.
Only the middle market Daily Express carried the official photos on their front page under the headline "Just One Big Happy Family" - although Camilla's father and children had been cut out.
