A pregnant woman lost her baby after being kicked in the stomach in a racist attack.
The 34-year-old woman, who witnesses said was Middle Eastern in appearance and wore a headscarf, was shopping in a branch of the Co-op in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom when she was approached by a man who made racial remarks, police said.
She was followed to her car, where the suspect hit a 40-year-old man over the head with a bag of ice and a bottle. He then kicked the woman in the torso, causing her to fall to the floor.
The woman lost her baby as a result of the attack, while the male victim sustained head injuries. Both were taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital but have since been discharged.
A neighbour who saw the aftermath of the attack said the victim had been screaming in agony.
