Darwin's Lord Mayor will appear before court after a police raid on his home allegedly uncovered drugs and an imitation pistol with silencer.
A Northern Territory Police statement says they raided a house in the Darwin suburb of Wagaman on Tuesday night.
Graeme Sawyer confirmed to local media that it was his home that was raided, but said he was out of town at the time.
Police allege they seized three grams of cannabis, three grams of cannabis resin, five grams of methylamphetamine, 11 prescription tablets and one MDMA tablet.
A 21-year-old woman, believed to be Sawyer's daughter Kylie, and another 24-year-old woman will be summonsed in relation to drug offences.
Police said a 53-year-old man, now known to be Mayor Sawyer, would be summonsed in relation to firearm and weapons offences.
It is believed noise complaints from neighbours prompted police to seek a search warrant.
